SmartDisk FlashTrax XT Firmware 01.02.0033. Your firmware version is listed in Setup in the lower-right corner. Bug Fixed: LCD may flash white when plugging in Video Out cable. Bug Fixed: Video Out power consumption. Using video output could cause excessive battery drain. Firmware Upgrade Procedure:After downloading the firmware upgrade file from the SmartDisk support website to your PC or Mac, you will see a file named D1376.BIN.
# Connect your FlashTrax XT to your PC or Mac using USB, as described in the FlashTrax XT User Guide.
# Copy D1376.BIN from your PC or Mac to the top level of your FlashTrax XT drive. For example under Windows, if your FlashTrax XT shows up as drive F: on your PC, copy this file so it appears in the F: directory and not in a subdirectory.
# Properly disconnect the USB connection between your FlashTrax XT and the PC or Mac.
# After disconnecting from USB, be sure your FlashTrax XT is powered by the A/C adapter. (Problems can occur if running from a battery and the battery dies during the update process.)
# Navigate to the Setup icon from the main menu and press Enter.
# Press Enter on System.
# Arrow down to Firmware Update, press the right arrow key to change No to Yes and press Enter.
# After a few seconds, you will see a pop-up showing New Version and Current Version. Verify that the New Version is a higher version number, and press Enter to start the update process. The screen will indicate progress of the update, and after a short while will display a message that the update is complete. Next, FlashTrax XT will power off automatically. |
