This new driver enables standard API acceleration such as DirectSound 2D, DirectSound 3D and supports A3D 1.0, EAX 1.0, EAX 2.0, MacroFX, EnviromentFX, MultiDrive, I3DL, and more.# Also, added is virtual 3D sound effect up to 7.1 surround channel on DirectSound audio. MAYA EX7 with this new driver will be a total solution for gaming surround sound as well as mobile surround sound.# Breakthrough Technology / USB Audio 3D Sound Acceleration:# Normally, USB device takes higher CPU load and is forced to use only in DirectSound HAL ('Hardware Abstraction Layer') mode.
